Communities for Veterans is an affiliate of Beneficial Communities, a highly successful, for-profit development corporation based in Sarasota, Florida with a national footprint of successful tax credit financed affordable housing projects. In 2011, Communities for Veterans began entering into Enhanced Use Lease Agreements with the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs for the purpose of building supportive housing on VA Medical Center Campuses across the country. In 2013, Solutions for Veterans, Inc. was tapped by Communities for Veterans to be the primary service provider at each of the Communities for Veterans housing project locations. The two organizations collaborate to bring high quality, affordable housing and supportive services to Veterans at each of the Freedom’s Path locations.
